GREATER  ST. PAUL BAPTIST CHURCH

The Old Church in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC

Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, a biblically taught, praying, worshipping, bible living and witnessing church, is a charming stone and brick sanctuary that sits atop a small hill at 5720 New Hampshire Avenue, NE in Washington, DC. The church is more than sixty years old and has a very warm and loving congregation; we are a church filled with unconditional love and open arms!

Officially established in August 1952 as St. Paul Baptist Mission, we began with the support of a group of thirty-two devoted Christians in the “Foggy Bottom” neighborhood of Washington, DC. In 1953, we were officially set aside as the Greater St. Paul Baptist Church by the Council of Baptist Churches, Washington, DC.

Our mission is to equip and mature believers to exemplify the love of Jesus Christ, spread the gospel, and meet the needs of the community through outreach, services, and discipleship. We are thankful for what God has done and we look forward to new blessings and opportunities to be of service to our church and to our community; serving the Lord Jesus Christ!

Greater St. Paul Baptist Church is under the leadership of Pastor Neil V. Travis, who was installed as Pastor on April 23, 2022. Pastor Travis is married to Deaconess Brenda Travis and is a loving father and proud grandfather.

Join us for Sunday Morning Worship Service each Sunday at 10:45 am.
